There was a nice op-ed in the Financial Times this morning throwing cold water on the "high interest rate crowd." Basically if the US and world economy continues to have anemic growth - 1.5 % to 2%, etc. then interest rated are NOT going up! One can't have 1.5% growth and 4 or 5% rates without causing a recession -- then if that happens rates will come down again. My best guess is 10 year NOT going above 3% any time soon.
This makes dividend stock like AMNF very nice to hold, and in a basic business like food. Everywhere I look all the sandwich shops put Pesto on their sandwiches these days.
