Another big beat on EPS estimates .27 versus .23 . Top line revenues down 330 mil versus estimates of 360 mil.largely due to a timing issue on satelitte contracts. Free cash flow positive for the quarter. Full year estimates for EPS raised to 1.15 despite lower revenue guidance, on higher forecasted margins. CC at 9am should be interesting. New Orders in Q2 854 mil..very nice.
Yesterday's 18.54 close was the highest since May 2011.

    • Very nice response by the market this morning as we have smashed through the 52 week high. I am so glad I held on to some shares even through the doldrums of the last couple of years.

      • Hi Tom... This so me reminds me of my days on Wall Street right after the unemployment number just got released. I paid little attention to first reactions, as it is usually scared people squaring their books. It took only 6thousand shares to move ORB 4%. I would be very surprised if we get through 19.52 before the Demo flight..
The conference call had some goodies in it. The huge new order book came largely from an uptick. In the Commercial Satelitte biz, which has been dormant at ORB for the last three quarters. The revenue impact of these new bookings will show up next year as they begin production cycle. The first half operational side was also impressive with some 26 launches of various products. They have another 24 scheduled for the remainder of 2013, which includes 2 Antares and 2 Minotar missions.
My listening skills still need improvement, but they were evasive on the missle test and their role( news will be coming out shortly, Thompson said). There was a 4 million charge to goodwill that the would not provide detail for. Little about the lawsuit that I could convey here. Maybe a read of transcript will be more revealing.

        Sentiment: Strong Buy
