I saw on the morning news and several friends have told me that they heard that Alaska will start San Diego to Maui service in October.
Any rumors that HA may reinstitute their year around San Diego to Maui service?
Last couple of quarters they are going out of their way not to show a profit, they do not want new players in the mainland routes. It will happen eventually but it will be hard to compete once they get the A330s going
I'm having trouble understanding your post. By not showing profit are you saying this would dissuade competitors from wanting in on HA's circuit? Also, who exactly does not want new players on mainland routes? I'm confused as HA is not a player on the mainland. And as far as the A330's; are you saying it will be hard on HA or their competition? I'm asking because your post seems informed. I'm just having trouble understanding as I may not be as familiar with all things HA.

We are taking advantage of the San-Maui direct flight in August for our summer trip.
We are hoping that they will make the summer time trip into a year around schedule like they did several years ago.
