If bubble, then why did Buffett buy Clayton Homes only 2 years ago?
Why? Clayton makes "manufactured homes" which are COUNTERCYCLICAL to stick-built homes based on relative affordability. As a banker, I worked on the deal. It's a calculated bet on the housing bubble.
True Fairfield. But what I don't understand is Berkshire owns a good majority of the Nebraska Furniture Mart, which caters to high end homeowners.
