DEL WEBB LOSES CONTRACTOR�S LICENSE IN ARIZONA ON THE BASIS OF CONSTRUCTION MALPRACTICE NOW OPERATING IN VIOLATION OF STATE LAW AND COURT ORDER UNDER REVOKED ARIZONA LICENSE
Del Webb Home Construction, Inc., the prime contractor for Sun City Grand and other prominent Arizona developments, lost it�s Arizona contractor�s license Wednesday, February 28, 2007, when Judge Douglas Rayes, on an appeal by Del Webb from the Registrar of Contractor�s (the �ROC�) similar opinion, affirmed it�s revocation on the basis of a number of findings against it for construction malpractice. In it�s appeal to Judge Ryan, Del Webb had refused to make home construction repairs ordered by the ROC and had actually sued both the state and the complaining homeowners in the lower hearing to intimidate both from enforcing the judgment requiring Del Webb to obey the state law. The strategy failed miserably and the homeowners, who handled not only their own case but also prosecuted the state�s case from their own pocket, prevailed. Cont.
