Reliance Industries says it signed 4G / LTE deals with top telecom partners

Telecom Lead Asia: RIL’s subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm, has finalized agreements with its technology partners, service providers, infrastructure providers, application partners, device makers and other strategic partners for the 4G / TD-LTE project.
RIL, announcing the financial result for Q4 2012-2013 on Tuesday, said Reliance Jio Infocomm has completed the detailed planning for Pan India implementation of the infrastructure needed for the project.
However, the company did not share details about its partners and launch date.
RIL says the key leadership talent for setting up of the business is in place in the respective geographies and they are leading current implementation phase.
Reliance Jio Infocomm is the only private player with Broadband Wireless Access spectrum in all the 22 telecom circles of India.
It will compete with Bharti Airtel, Aircel, Tikona Digital, Sistema Shyam Teleservices (MTS India), Videocon, etc.
Meanwhile, to meet the needs of consumers in a connected world, ‘Reliance Digital Express’ format was launched last year. The store provides cutting edge technology solutions to the customers and helps them connect with their world from anywhere at any time.
Keeping pace with the new store roll out, the retail business opened 184 new stores during the year thereby furthering their leadership positions in respective format sectors. At the end of March 2013, the company operated over 1,450 stores in 129 cities across India.
