Maybe its because you haven't cured blindness yet. That being said, any agent that in controlled studies that shows any proof of being effective in the treatment would be welcome- PRESENTLY ONLY ANECDOTAL REPORTS of drugs like azathiprine, mycphenalate etc show up in the literature

Xoma has already cured blindness in bechet patients - and it has the pictures to prove it. In addition, 4 patients who have each had 6-8 outbreaks a year have been disease exacerbation free for over 2 years with no increase in dosage. It is VERY possible that the Bechet phase 3 trial will end early because 052 works so well it would be unethical to continue without treating the placebo patients.
I hope you can replace the utter despair and anguish of the past and today feel that a critical mass of hope (no not o's hope!) has been reached. Hang on.
