Fiscal Cliff As a Buying Opportunity

Is there a stock you've always "just missed"? A stock you really like, but you've always felt a step late on, so instead of buying it you decided to wait and watch, then ground your teeth when it immediately went up (which of course meant that you were a step late again.....repeat until insane)?

For me, that stock was Apple. I always liked Apple and several times in recent years I did full due diligence reviews, but for one reason or another, I always felt like I'd been too slow to recognize Apple's potential, and that other, brighter people had found it before I had.

Since I was afraid of paying a sucker's price, I always waited. And it would go up. And I'd kick myself. And I'd consider buying it again, but decide to wait, then the price would rise, then a kick, then I'd wait, then rise, then kick, then... [cue my rubber room].

I finally got Apple in the 560's earlier this year, but the market's a hard mistress, and right now I'm a member of an extremely small and notorious club: people whose lifetime investment net on AAPL is negative.

Anyway, now might be a good time to investigate that one stock that's always kicked you in the nuts. Lots of stocks got beaten down pretty bad on fiscal cliff concerns, but irrationally, in my opinion, since there will almost certainly be a deal.
