Since people don't want to let it go, this is my theory of what happened that night. Zimmerman followed a possibly dangerous suspect (Martin) into a very dimly lit area with his gun drawn and confronted him (exactly like a cop would do in that situation). Martin, seeing an aggressive stranger with his gun drawn a short distance away, enters fight or flight mode and attacks Zimmerman. I believe this is what happened based on how chicken#$%$ people are in general... otherwise he would never have initiated a fight without his friends there to back him up. I don't believe that Martin would have attacked Zimmerman out of the blue unless he was A.) high on drugs, B.) was insane, or C.) honestly believed that his life was in danger.
Zimmerman is reckless... and this is the very reason why he never made it as a cop in the first place.
No racism except that Zimmerman is known to have said Blacks(he used a different word) always get away with it and the jury of five white women and a mixed race women found him not guilty when his wounds clearly did not rise to the level of extreme danger.
