When FDX acquired RPS there daily ground volume was .010% of UPS, fast forward to today FDX has been able to steal 53% of UPS ground traffic right out of your pkg cars (and growing) FDX yield per pkg is much higher than UPS due to extreme high labor costs that can not be sustained of the long haul. Watch out Brown FDX Green eating your food from the table you set over 100 years ago. The union wages will kill profit and allow the daily volume to grow 10 + percent at FDX Green AKA Ground!
In reply to your your statement on FDX Ground volume---- You maybe taking Ground volume ---but we are taking your overnight air volume which was zero, but now a very high percentage going to UPS.. The money is in the air volume.
If your reading the news, people are shying away from the over night deliveries, they are happier with the cheaper slower ground deliveries, that should be where UPS kicks butt, but with the contract and lack of concern for the rank and file both union and non union it will be harder than it should, customers are getting fed up.
