It used to be that I expected slower delivery times around the holidays. Holidays seem to span 365 days a year. Their delivery is sluggish, and their customer service is poor. Had a case of wine shipped from an elite winery. UPS broke 4 of the bottles, and will not compensate me for the damages and loss.
Good point, many items shipped via UPS are at the shipper's risk.
Shippers understand that there will be some percentage of loss when they chose to send certain items via UPS. They have been told by Customer Service that their packaging puts their product at risk. and been given suggested alternatives.
In many cases the shipper chooses UPS given the known risk as the most economic alternative.
Do you really think a "Fragile" label requires special handling with out added cost?
