I thought it was strange that the December put volume hit 500 today. That sounded a bit high, given the expiration date...
I believe the put volume spiked to around 700-800 before ACAS sold, so I thought something might be up.
I'm going to take a HUGE hit on my calls tomorrow. Thank god I've got enough free capital to make up for some of this.
sorry to sounds dumb, but what is another offering mean? Are they offering the shares at a lower price? If so, any ideas out there on how low this goes (I understand the div announcement is any day now)
American Capital Agency Corp. (Nasdaq:AGNC - News) ("AGNC" or the "Company") announced today that it agreed to sell 8,000,000 shares of its common stock to Citi and Deutsche Bank. In connection with the offering, the Company intends to grant the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 1,200,000 shares of common stock to cover overallotments, if any.
AGNC expects to use the net proceeds from this offering to acquire additional agency securities as market conditions warrant and for general corporate purposes.
I don't think they priced the offering yet, but the last offering was $26-something.
