at 28.90. Might be people are worried about the upcoming NLY offering which will push down prices for all MREITS.
I'm out. I will load up on NLY and AGNC when the offering happens.
Good point Doc, I was in Poulsbo all day and can't always be on the job. I hereby deputize you Doc. If you want his rap sheet so you know what you're up against, his prior convictions include closed window tooting, he's a dangerous sort.
AGNC not supposed to runup that fast to 30+.
If AGNC stays stuck over 30+ after 2-3 weeks, another SPO might be in the cards.
AGNC management wants to keep divvy at $1.40 a share, rather than let stock price go to 34-35.
Would like to see a repeat what happened in March 2011; AGNC had brief dip 27.xx for 2 days.
Whoops Olee bad exit timing, heavy institutional AGNC buying Monday and Tuesday with block trade b/s ratios surpassing that of the June divvy run up this week http://finance.avafin.com/stock/AGNC?chartType=block
Wow, where is the love in here? lol
I see you're taking a beating in here olee, so I'll throw in my .02 worth.
I agree that we are due for a pullback, check out what happened last quarter. About one week of gains after xd followed by a pullback lasting about two weeks. I think it has a lot to do with people buying in just because they heard "SPO = buy", they get some quick gains and have no idea what AGNC does or just wanted a quick swing trade, so they sell.
Don't bother bashing me, I'm holding 2k shares at 28.30 and sold 20 aug29 calls at .65. Even though I expect a pullback I still expect a nice run to 30+ later in the cycle.
he/she/it must be a day/swing trader. Never seeing the trees from the forest.
You buy AGNC at SPOs and near their lows (high 27-low 28), like ringer31 states, and wait to ex-divvy 30+. Slow way, if you own 10K shares, to make 14K - 17K with little risk.
Different strokes for differnet folks.
