I applied and got accepted. Applied to show the public that talent is done through hard work and dedication. So probably won't win it and even if I would, playing at Carnegie hall was the highlight of my musical life. But it is good to share good music wherever the stage is.
You know, you are completely right. And I'll still be doing it with some outstanding piece of music, so that works. Just have to practice a bit with this piece, last time I played this I was 16 (the whole sonata, not just this movement). So that'll be fun, but have till march, which is plenty of time. :)
"sons Sviatoslav (1924–2010), an architect, and Oleg (1928–1998), an artist, painter, sculptor and poet, dedicated a large part of their lives to the promotion of their father's life and work."
Reminiscent of someone else we know ;-)
You know what, you're right. Woke up at 7am, rarely wake up that early, for me, and thought Scriabin piece won't work, but this will for the second round
It is an excellent idea, the only thing is that it is played too often and I want to get people to know Scriabin, which in the states is not known unless they are into classical music. This piece would be the second round, first would be my prelude which is fast and flashy. But this piece will make me lose, but like Franky sang 'I did it my way.' This piece is so multi fasceted and very difficult emotionally and thus the objective, let people think. I know I'll lose with this piece cause I know where I am getting myself into, but would it be an amazing uplifting thing if I am wrong and pass through with this mind provoking thing? I would be pleasantly surprised
You know it Porky haha. If I'll got Telly, I'll start thanking the lord and calling everyone evil and that they are going to hell. I'll probably go Kojak though and just scream who loves ya baby?
Yeah Stegs, it will be 90 seconds and I will first start out with an original composition, which is flashy. That will make them remember this and thus I think I'll get in. If not, fine, will trade Agnc and play a second concert at Carnegie haha.
If I will continue, the first (or second) round will be on march and I will play Scriabin's prelude which I have put up on YouTube. A beautiful piece for people to have goosebumps. So we'll see what happens. Fun stuff
