127 to 15 in 10 key states is big loss

The REAL election in the United States was fought in ten battleground states that had a total of 142 electoral votes. Obama started with 205 fairly safe electoral votes and Romney had 191. Romney added only North Carolina's 15 votes or ONE truly contested state. President Obama won nine with 127 electoral votes. Final: 332 to 206. It this were pool, you'd call it running the table. The president 61 million votes to 58 million was two per cent, 50-48. In those tough battleground states, the President told voters over and over again that he would raise taxes for those making over $250,000 and he received their support and vote. President Bush received 286 electoral votes and Kerry got 251. But that did not stop President Bush from declaring that he had earned political capital and he expected to spend it. I believe that President Obama has earned even more political capital and I would expect him to spend it.
