I am on the road but I stopped for a moment to do my favorite thing, which is to hunt new potential hall of famers for the SS. I think I found another Cornerstone fund that nearly suits the bill.
CRF has only recently(4months) had higher volume, but as I apply X+4 as first entry and use GLAD/3%, I have found one losing month only going back to Jan 2011. Look even at Nov/Dec 2011 where the PPS went down about 2 bucks and applying GLAD/3% with the two new rules I listed last night, it was still a winning month(even with the PPS losing 2 bucks...pretty impressive). July 2011 was a loss. I think an additional rule to limit loss is this:
3) Close out your positions on the close of the day, after taking two additional fills(3% Rule) after initial entry position. This works as a stop loss from further decline on major price movements. This will stop your loss, as you can see, on CRF in that July 2011 sell off.
Let me know what you think. I think I'm in love with CRF...Sweet Seven..??
Hey Doc, just wanted to say thanks for all the valuable trading information you share as well as many others here. I like others try to take advantage of the intra day swings to try and juice my dividend total return.
Just thought you might want to run GGN through your model. This one swings big time and is a monthly payer. ( over a buck some months) For those that like to short this could be a good player as well. Here`s a few quick numbers.
