Hi Doc- I took some time this afternoon and read your email. Thanks.
I did the analysis on AGNC and found something interesting. If you simply apply the 3% rule only- you are a winner what appears to be 90% of the time if you hold for 5 days.
if you ignore the months of march and September- looks like you can hold for a couple weeks.
What i did for AGNC is to make the Glad rules met "yes" No" column a hard "yes" by removing the equations and make it simply yes- then to the right calculate the earnings/losses over time. Use conditional formatting and zoom out.
I have been where you probably are right now more often than I want to remember. It is a conundrum, on the entry and exit points and the whipsaws which occur, on non-cyclic stocks.
As I have just commissioned a trader who contacted me on my gmail account, you should stick with the cyclic stocks and do a search on, for eg JTP or JCP, the newer additions to Glad. JTP boasting 96.6% win rates over the last 29 months, and JCP, a newer monthly, boasting 100% win rate over the past 13 months, since monthly dividends began.
Go back a year and simply buy on X+2, and add at every 10 cent lower PPS, equal lots, and then exit on X-1.
My problem is not having more money to trade. I would like to trade all of the SS in 100,000 share/entry lots. Who needs a day job?...;-)
