it depends on your entre point. I have an average cost price of $28.3 plus 2 years of dividends, so I am up about 16% ROI a year. Still afloat. But I agree that all this talking about the "Magic" of the REITs..is pure bullxxxx. Any other sector is doing much better. Many other REITs have performed horribly like ARR,CIM (now recovering, but still bad), CYS, also NLY now disappointing. In a zero interest rate enviroment and markets all up, REITs are still having trouble. So i am with you in this case,any bloody ETF could have given you better ROI than most REITs stocks.
