Columbia Wanger filed its quarterly schedule of holdings, as of 9/30, today, showing that they blew out entirely their 4.064 million share position during the third quarter. Also reporting was River Road Asset Mgt that reduced its position by 42% to just under 926,000 shares. Near as I can tell, Columbia Wanger was the SinkHole's largest institutional owner.
donedoodit: although long TWGP, I have to admit enjoying reading your posts, quite informative. I also noticed that Columbia Wanger sold out their position from their 13F-HR. I just curious that with 4.064 million, CW was holding more than 5%. Shouldn't CW file a SC 13G/A when cleared their position. Do you know why they did not?
I am new to this board. On a whim, I read an article or two on Seeking Alpha and bought a bunch of Apr 14 $4 calls. You seem like one of the more knowledgeable guys on the board. I assume your short? What do you think of the Apr $4 calls?
PS. I know, I know. Getting investment advice on a Yahoo! message board is suspect. You don't have to tell me.
Do a straddle like I have. The value is fair here based on 50% positive event and 50% negative event. But the positives and negatives are so far from each other there will be a big move from these levels. It's a coin flip to me as to which direction it will be. So I'd rather burn cash buying options rather than on the underlying, short or long.
