I remember back in the fall of 2003 the Repubs were claiming that we had won in Iraq and the only violence that was still occurring were a few desparate holdouts from the Saddam regime.
Then we killed Uday and Husay, and that was supposed to be end of the violence. Then we caught Saddam, and that was supposed to be end of the violence. Then there were regional elections, and that was supposed to be end of the violence. Then there was a Constitution (why not let them have ours; we're not using it) and that was supposed to be end of the violence. Then there were national elections, and that was supposed to be end of the violence.
What a stupid bunch of liars these Repubs are.
Remember the Republican lectures about how there were still some dead-ender Nazis who were killing allied soldiers as late as 1947? Ask those Repubs now if 100 American troops were killed in Germany 40 months after V-E Day and they'll lie in your face and claim that no one ever said what they said.
Their lying makes me puke.
And whatever happened to the Republican claim that the violence against our troops is proof that we're winning? I guess that ridiculous lie gets unbelievable after a few years.
The single most important thing for all of us is to strike the power from the hands of a corrupt, reckless, and criminally negligent Republican Party, which refuses to police the lunatics in its own ranks because its political success has depended for almost three decades on catering to an extremist agenda and to the worst of our human impulses. Republican policies are reflected in the way the Iraq occupation was fraudulently foisted upon the American public and to the culture of corruption that has made Congress and the White House into expensive bordellos.
