Obama is serious about rebuilding the infrastructure in America. Aluminum is a strong non-corrosive metal. Huge upside potential for AA and other aluminum companies. Also, the housing and auto market are improving, which is another huge catalyst for aluminum. The party is just beginning.
Of course Obama is interested in endless government spending even with record US deficits. How many college graduates work in these industries? It will be more crony capitalism & favors to unions. Debt has gone from 10T to 17T in Obama's first term alone.
A bigger question?? What did the States do with all that gas tax money they got which is supposed to go to fixing roads & bridges? What about all the tolls?? What about all those billions in transportation bills?? My guess all that money went into more social programs instead of where it was earmarked for. Then politicians cry to the Feds about it. Same old.
With trillion + annual deficits and another trillion blown on "stimulus" the money isn't there. No more room to kick the can. We are at the end of the road!
We need to work on Infrastructure.... I agree with Obama here. We need a plan also to enable people to get off of long term welfare. For many, give them jobs that they must perform to get welfare ( if they can work ). Infrastructure spending is good, as long as we concentrate on supporting American business and workers to build infrastructure and not have jobs be government paid jobs...
