What info do you have that would support this line of thinking? Sure the economy is not doing well, but Vail was in a good position going into the season (see Balance sheet). Plus, they were proactive in the Epic pass. Granted, it is reduced revenue, but at this point any ability to get skiiers to visit is a plus. Does not matter if it is front range people or not. They will still purchase some things on the sloops.
They will burn through a massive amount of cash this year, and the earnings estimates are tooo high. Epic pass isn't bringing the europeans to Vail, their bookings are lousy this season. As we continue to "deflate" their balance sheet is going to look much worse by December of 2009!
