The Asia recession has to hurt MTN. This stock has fallen sharply the last two weeks and the shorts have increased. The total had been down to about 850,000 shares from nearly 1.1 million, but has increased back up to nearly 1.0 million. Someone knows something. IMO, the slight increases the last two days reflect shorts covering positions. I just don't see the upside for MTN. It has too many irons in the same fire.
The Village at Breckenridge consists of 5 builings of privately owned condos. Vail is only buying the property management and rental management of these condos, plus some commercial property on the first floors such as stores, restaurants, etc. They are also buying a small hotel on the property with sleeping rooms. I can't see how there could be any vacation ownership involved. Most of the condo owners will change management companies before closing or shortly after due to Vail's poor track record of property management, so they will not be left with much. They also bouth the Hilton Hotel in Breckenridge, just up the hill from the Village.
I am new to this board. I just bought several Sept Calls at a strike of 35. Am I screwed or do I have a chance? I'd like to own this stock. Another "snow" stock has soared in recent days. KTO has gone from around 15 to 21+ in the last five days. Does this bode well for other snow stocks?
