Beginning in April, Jones Natural Soda is now in 25 Whole Foods stores in Northern California and 50 Albertson’s groceries in Southern California. I believe they are selling cases for $5.49. Any predictions on revenue for 2Q for the new accounts?
If they average 1 case / day (conservative estimate) x the 75 stores x 90 days, that = $37,057.50. I know that's not much but it could help offset some of the increased SGA for the quarter, or be someones salary. More importantly, Whole Foods has 350 locations nationally and if all goes well, they could be a great partner for Jones Soda.
Anyone in Cali that confirm the price per pack how any of the store shelves look?
Ummmm.... 5.49 for a 4-pack retail price. you spent more time on your calculations than research i take it. I'm guessing they sell a 24pk/case for around $12 wholesale. Do you even know how the business model works??
From your calculations it would lok like you are assuming zero cost per case and all the revenue is net profit to apply where you suggest. The way i learned how to add, subtract, multiply and divide in school was that of the $5.97 in gross sales revenue under the best of circumstances 10% came down to net profit before taxes. I'll let you tell us how much that comes out to.
I never said the $37k was all profit, i said it could be applied towards SGA or someones salary (for the quarter). 37k at 27% gross margin is 10,000. Minus taxes you get your profit, yes...and for the record, your condescension ruins your credibility as anything other than an immature child.
