    Motley Fool says what?

Do they know what they are talking about? Can they interpret their own graphs? It doesn't look like it to me. I don't see on their graph what they are saying. Graphs are meant to help visualize what's going on. The 2nd graph is nonsense. They seem to be trying to slam HIMX for some reason. The graph if I'm reading it right doesn't say what they are claiming.

    • Maroon?
      Ehhhhh..What's up doc?

    • You just showed you are the bigger moron. You can't even spell the word. Did that exchange bother you? Maybe you're the one who needs some psych treatment.

    • How the hell did that thread dissolve into insults? That little exchange should be in psych history books! What a coupla maroons.

    • Hilarious!!

    • Yeah, you have a nice day too. You need to invest in a company like Apple. I myself have never had any interest in it. I'll agree its a very good company and seems to come out with a hit every year or two and what you would like or can understand is their stock price just keeps on an upward slope. But, will it always? You need to invest in CDs or money market funds or bonds. Stay off this board. LOL

LOL, well, so much for your indicators. I guess hope springs eternal. Good luck in your investing. By the way, you have a nice day.

    • Wow, what do I owe you in consulting fees for your astute investing advice?? I didn't say there was still a buy signal now. You are making a lot of assumptions. HIMX is a Taiwan company. The US may still be the largest economy, but I'll bet many companies are not even looking to the US for sales. There are many bright spots in the World economy even though the US is floundering. As a matter of fact I do have a small play in the gold sector. For HIMX I'm looking to the future not the past. Everybody knew they were going to cut their div; that's why the stock is so low. We all know the US will be a drag on the rest of the World economy also, but some will fare better than others. As I thought you are one of those who follow the crowd.

After looking at the various methods of 3D displays out there I'm convinced the HIMX solution is by far the superior one!

The graph by Motely Fool is simply implying that HIMX is fudging the books to make themselves look better off than they are. That's it in a nutshell.

      • What did you do,weewillie, come over here to defend MF? The thing is I majored in mathematics and took a lot of engineering stuff also, but didn't study charts like this. The first chart has a scale for revenues on the left which 10 times or 100 times the one for earnings on the right. So comparing the two bars is just about meaningless. Which scale do you use to judge the FCF? There is no way you can conclude anything from this graph! It is useless. Now to the 2nd graph. Bar graphs are used to illustrate the relative magnitude of things. You will see on the left they have a scale that goes from negative values to positive values and the overall bars are positioned up and down on this scale. What is that supposed to mean? That these overall values are part positive and part negative? And, which part? Again this graph is nonsense. On the 2011 bar the green part is by far the largest and the red part they single out is nowhere near the % of the overall bar as they say. These graphs are from investor IQ. Did MFool copy these graphs and distort them? I certainly won't pay for investor IQ's service to see any of their products. They serve big financial institutions. No wonder these firms are so skrewed up! The only way they ever made money is by skrewing the customer with fees etc.

Nothing is demonstrated by MFool that HIMX is fudging their numbers!
