Just by number, we are by far smarter ;-)
Sentiment: Strong Buy
There actually is 280 Million shares owned long. Some may hedging shorts, but they still are held long at the present.
We're are way smarter but less crookier that's all.
havenger - where does that number come from?
I read somewhere that 55% were owned by longs, which would put that number at 119M shares? Do we know how many longs shares are owned by institutions like Wellington, Blackrock, and Fidelity? OS is 217M.
217 OS, -159 longs = 58M shares
35M - 40M shares to institutions = 23M -18M float?
61M short? Gap is somewhere between 38M - 43M
Could the institutions own more than 35-40%?
Well, sorry for the confusion: I might be off a bit, but just tried to make a statement. Sorry.
