Avg household income is not going to spend 200 dollars or more on a weight loss drug that has minimal effect.
Proper diet and exercise is the best solution to weight loss and doctors know this fact.
Most people who are over weight, choose to be over weight.
Refill rates will be the biggest dagger in the backs for Arena investors. Initial sales are wildly inaccurate but refills will be the telling story. Drop out rates combined with health issues and costs will finally set the record straight on the obesity drug market. It is much lower than most on this board are expecting. Playing initial sales is risky enough, being a long going into the refill rate will be down right scary.
Can you tell me what is the num of prescriptions getting filled for Phen yearly and for what reason? Remember Phen has a limitation that individual can use it max of 3 months at time and have to wait for another 3 months for next round. Don't try to fool around people.
Arena spent over Billion and 14 years to get this into market. Easai already spent more than 200m and would pay more than a billion for no reason?
Wilmington has invested more than 100m in this company.
Millions of retailers are into this and majority of them are obese which is reason for them to invest into this. What are you doing here? Are you obese or slim short?

Three things you forget....
1. Many WILL be insured. At least 30% now and that will increase over time.
2. Being OBESE also costs a lot of money. Probably a lot more than 200/month if the true cost could be calculated. For many this will lower food costs, the cost of other meds and increase personal productivity to a level that will easily make up for the 200 dollar investment.
3. People are vain. If they can lose weight more easily with Belviq and end up looking better and feeling better that money will have been considered a good investment when the goal has been achieved.
