Their prevarication is a bid to falsely build their credibility here and sham newbies into thinking they are investment wise and that this is a good investment. Let's say they did buy at 2 or pre adcomm if they didn't sell toward approval or after then they are NOT smart investors they are but greedy and fools and not to be trusted. Remember 13.5 to 6.49- approval pps in 2012 to now.
He's right in one respect. The perceived board hero by many of you, tiger_joseph, posted that he was pre-adcom and sold his position at 13.50 (what are the odds of him selling during the short window when the pps was very briefly at that price?) and bought back at in the 8's. He forgot to mention that he thanked the board for the additional 6500 "cheap shares" that he purchased at $10.10 on Jan. 18, 2013. Of course, you know what happened to the stock after that. And then there are the alleged pre-adcom investors who suddenly became obese and began taking B with results that vastly surpassed the results in the regulated weight loss studies. Some even posted that a family member began taking it with better results than those posted by the pre-adcom investors' results, eight ed?
The point being is that romul is correct in that saying that some of you try to convince newbies into investing in this stock by portraying yourselves as seasoned, honest investors who want to help them out of the goodness in your hearts, when in effect most of you cannot be trusted.
I don't care if you buy or sell.......it's your money. Do what you want with your money, but never trust the street when it come to ARNA (and many other stocks) they have manipulated this stock for several years. I have predicted their moves many times, and have cautioned people to pick your timing cause the street has always taken it down after taking it up.......generally the trend is rising, and many significant milestone events are near. If you can't wait through this year......move on.
Plenty of traders here not even pumping but actively accumulating any and all dips ahead of shorts covering. Traders with huge profits from 2011 and 2012 will end up with majority of available retail shares. What will shorts do about this?
what is unbelievable is the sheer number of paid bashers on this little stock.
I hope your boss jumps out a window, I'd watch.
I bought quite a bit under 2, which anyone can go back and read.
I wish I sold more over 11, but oh well. maybe someday soon.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Retail bought this stock very low in 2011 and early 2012 at same time over 19 million shares shorted by hedge funds between 2/28/12 and 4/30/12. ARNA was trading $1.70's to $3. Retail can't short millions of shares that low. By 6/27/12 ARNA hit $13.50 though for only a moment many longs sold Summer 2012 above $10 to $11 range some even $12 to $13.
Your posting history says you are long OREX. Well you can get "Contrave" today in generic form and have been able to for years. No need to wait for some FDA ruling this Summer.
Hey Moron - I got in at $1.84 and I am not alone. Don't believe me,? Search my post history. In fact, the easy way to validate anyone stating the same is to simply search their post history...if they have been posting about ARNA for at least 2 years it is probably true. Did I only buy at $1.84? Of course not...I bought up and down during the rise and fall over the last 2 years so my average is now a lot higher but that is not the point. The point is you are an idiot for trying to make broad generalizations about something you obviously just stumbled on to and know nothing about. Many knew this was gold mine a long time ago, just because you were in the dark when they weren't doesn't make it any less true.
I am a stock market trader since 1965 and it is difficult to believe people like you invest in stocks. You are the type of person that apparently has limited scientific knowledge or you would have invested in ARNA at $2.25. Too bad you need help from people like the street and SO to help in your trade selections. Of course, you will never get on the ground floor of a great buy like ARNA, if you need poorly educated analyst to help you.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
If it sounds too good to be true it most likely is? Same goes to those who claim Arena is a $50 stock...Most scams are believable and that's why the uninformed jump in only to get slaughtered over and over again!
