why is the Gov stockpiling meds that R Not FDA approved
"Siga said it has delivered about 590,000 courses of its drug Arestvyr to the government in the last five months. Arestvyr has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, but the government is stockpiling it and another drugs in case of a terrorist attack, biological attack, or a natural outbreak. "
Did you not read the quote? "in case of a terrorist attack, biological attack, or a natural outbreak" Approval will come, just as it did for smallpox vaccine, after the stockpile is created (simply because it takes longer to get through regulatory process then it does to scale-up, manufacture and deliver).
