I just received my Proxy and rushed to vote against re-electing this board. Quality problems are unacceptable symptom of poor management and Board of Directors is part of root cause. Now that I have been able to vote I am free to sell my 900 shares.
I had 30,000 shares..... voted completely against the current BOD.... and then dumped all of my shares. I'm finished with JNJ until there is a major change. Good luck to everyone. I hope they get the message.
Thanks for your attention, fly4umilehigh. That is a material block of votes. I have to think that the frustration and disgust with Weldon -- permeating the shareholder base -- is so palpable, that that had to be a contributing factor to the current expose in Bloomberg Businessweek. There must be grumblings among the institutional holders by now. More unflattering pieces have appeared in other media venues as well ( Seeking Alpha, for instance ). This will be a very interesting Annual Meeting -- of that we can be certain.
