    Too Much Gaming Exposure??

Wow. A reply. Good to hear a voice, Sheamanski.

About the Partners Fund. Yes. Lots of exposure to gaming and retirement and ...

But, they have it going for them. I back it up with vimsx - the vanguard mid-cap index.

I found this fund through Bob Brinker's Marketimer newsletter. The money went in, and the money went up. So, it's satisfying.

Also, two other points. First, they have this great shareholders' meeting in New York every year, with usually great entertainment. That has to be good.

Second, Ron Baron is trained as a chemist. I am a chemist. I also have blinders in this regard. The little I get from the quarterly reports seems pretty much like a chemist is running some part of the operation. Boy, this sounds stupid. But, it is how it goes.

And, one day, I want to go with my bride to the shareholders' meeting. I like good entertainment. Not sure about Billy Crystal, but Elton John. Next year, ... hmmm... Wynton Marsalis' digs are just across the street from where the last meeting was held, or so I recall.

Have you read Wynton's recent book? "To a Young Jazz Musician: Letters from the Road" (available). He has a unique voice of responsibility and vision. I love it. Want to share it with my kids. Marsalis is bigger than his combo stage, with his social and personal connection in the modern life. ... I go on. Get the book. Read it. Better than a $10K day anytime.

As for bptrx. Well, I'm in. The manager's know stuff that I do not.

Shea, have a good second half of the week.

    • This is my favorite fund, and I love the fact that it has a lot of gaming exposure. It shouldn't be a core holding anyway, but maybe 10% of your portfolio.

If you check the chart out vs the Vice fund, VICEX, you will see that it has done even better than the vice fund.
