Excuse me, but obviously you didn't read up on the NFL game very well. Verizon FIOS was one of numerous outlets that carry the NFL channel and showed the Cowboys game on Thursday. The Cable companies were the ones out of luck because they wouldn't (or couldn't) pay the price to carry the channel. Verizon was not the sole proprietor of the show.
Thewebis--What the heck are you yapping about? (Backlash against Verizon). I watched the NFL channel (game) on Dish Network. I know Direct TV has it as well. What useless cable provider do you have? Having experienced cable providers in the past, if they did get the NFL channel (game), they would probably not let anyone see it unless they bought fifty more channels that they didn't want to go along with it.
It appears Verizon and DirectTV offer it as part of a basic package and the cable companies want to charge extra for the channel even though they claim there is little interest in it. And Verizon did what wrong? This pregame coverage is cool, much more low key and casual than normal FB pregame. Interviews with players as they warm up, chats with officials, just different building up to the KO.
