Last week corporate decided to take away all local agency accounts from local sales rep in a particular market, and make them house accounts so the commision won't have to be paid to the sales rep. Nice huh? The sales rep I personally heard this from says this cut his list in half and his income by more than that. Sure it may help corporate profits, but how long can these idiots keep treating their people this way before it blows up in their face?
Is there any wonder why Cumulus is at $2.24 with decisions like this. I work at an advertising agency and I will have to consider if I want to buy from some regional rep or some lazy sales manager. Hmmm? TV is sounding better tonight.
Cumulus may be surprised they didn't pay the small commission to the sales rep. Instead of keeping 100% of advertising revenue, then may get to keep zero. How amazing that they think no sales goes into an agency account. Lots of work goes into it and they are about to find out.
