Intel will acquire AMD - No BK

Don't worry for all longs or shorts.
Intel will buy-out AMD. AMD will become Intel Division.
    Have a fun of trading!!!!

    • Several years ago, it might have made sense. The higher IPC performance of the K7 Athlon made using Intel's vastly superior process technology would have resulted in higher clock speeds with lower performance.

Intel P4 used more power and had higher thermals. But it is also a fact that P4 used less power per TRANSISTOR and less power per TRANSISTER per mHz. A lower transistor count, higher IPC "AiMtel K7" made on an Intel process would have been the best CPU, bar none.

But ever since the launch of Core 2 Duo, Intel has had both the higher IPC chip and the superior process technology.

Intel would not be interested in AMD's inferior products, nor its outdated process. And with the economy tanking, they would not want or need AMD's fabs.

Besides, it would never pass regulatory muster.

Note that this post will be called BASHING by AMD fanboys because it is truthful.

Several years ago, it might have made sense. The higher IPC performance of the K7 Athlon made using Intel's vastly superior process technology would have resulted in K7's of much higher clock speeds with higher performance and lower thermals than any chip by either Intel or AMD alone.
