    AMD has no cash problems.

AMD has plenty of cash according to the company reports. The bashers keep trying to post such lies to promote fear. The game consoles costs billions to develop. Do you thing Sony or Microsoft would each spend several billion dollars developing these consoles if AMD was not healthy?

AMD will post profits in the current quarter and beyond. No danger of them going under.

Sorry bashers, but your continuous lies do not even past the smell test.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Bashers/shortards just look at the debt to cash ratio and just trying to start a desperate panic.

As I stated on the other post, companies which also had a great run this YTD has bigger debt/cash ratio than we do.
Just look at Sprint, Tmobile, Rite Aid, Wendy's, Radio Shack, Best Buy, Hewlett Packard. and 100 other more companies who beat S&P500 average YTD.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Don't confuse debt/cash ratio with imminent cash payout obligations. And don't claim AMD has plenty of cash... Read AMD 10Q report and let the numbers talk.

I never meant to bash AMD. I just think we need to find out how AMD deals with its cash crunch. One possible solution is issuing convertible debt. It would be impossible to have a deal with GF on the cash obligation. Equity financing may be possible but which underwriter wants to take the risk?

Maybe at this time AMD is in talks with Wall Street bankers for the debt offerings. It must have a good 3Q, otherwise it will have no way out.
