last time they ahd big miss they reported early, but if there was an early report they would have done it already. I think they like to report misses early and hold good new for earnings day. No pre release is good news imo.
In its long history of misses there are literally scores of times when AMD has missed - badly - without providing a warning. They've also been sued by shareholders many, many times for material non-disclosures.
Just wait for Thursday after close. You'll learn that consoles aren't such a hot business after all, Intel is accelerating its erosion of AMD market share in servers, PCs and laptops, AMD still has no tablet wins despite investing hundreds of millions in the Tehmash design, Jaguar has zero traction outside of consoles, Hawaii turns out to not be a paradise for investors, and thanks to selling Asian real estate, AMD just managed not to lose money on the bottom line. They lost money, however, on semiconductor operations.
