Haverty's introduces the most saleable group in years.
With the new Ralph Lauren Willowwood Road, upholstery, the dining, bedroom, and very saleable accent pieces at very attractive price points considering the high level of quality. The new neutral store color scheme looks very good. However, the store in general while looking very tastefull is very weak in accents such as Framed Prints, decorative pillows, and Lamps. Here is the heart of the weakness, no breadth and certainly no depth. This new collection will be successfull, but it could be a home run in adding a very high percentage of sales growth if the "frosting" of an excellent accessory compliment were there. I have been commenting on this foir years now. Please top management take a stroll thru a Pottery Barn, or a Crate & Barrel and note how a wide range of accessories makes those stores POP! Note the difference in traffic on a weekend, accessories create SALES VOLUME and bring customers back to buy the major pieces. Without that, the exceptionable style of Willowwood will not translate into the potential sales.
