I was a Service Tech (field) in Illinois for 27 year's and i serviced and repaired the Snowblower's..They are very good machines..Make sure you buy the correct unit, don't buy a 2 cycle tinker toy..4 cycle 2 stage is the way to go..So many people buy the cheapest thing and beat the you know what out of it and then complain that it's no good..
Sears machines are made in the U.S.A.
I bought the 5.5hp one (beow) about a month ago and used it for the first time today. I loved it.
Don't let everyone fool you. It's all what you want in the extras. For the most part, Deere or Craftsman, The lower end models have a Tecumseh engine and the higher ends have Briggs and Straton. Briggs has a great name in small engines, so what ever you buy make sure it has one. No matter what you buy, you get what you pay for.
"..yes i do i got in the summer and got screwed.."
You shouldn't buy cheap knockoffs from down the street.
First clue is the name.
"Craftsman" is a Sears brand name.
craftsm"E"n would indicate a non Sears product.
You got what you deserved.
