ALL the reatail reports are coming in very strong for the 4Q, including ANN! The X-mas Q!
But lets look at the ANN report... They did $470 mln in sales(consensus $453.3 mln)... Well big F'n whooptee dooo! They did 600 Mil in the 4th Q 2 years ago and 483 mil last year!
DO we buy stocks because sales are dropping off a clif or because they are growing?
Pssssst... Sales SUCK at ANN!
Now look at the chart of ANN! it is near a 52 week HIGH! How in the hell do you justify a 52 week high on Sales that are dropping...
According to Vector Vest... Value: Value is a measure of a stock's current worth. ANN has a current Value of $6.05 per share. Therefore, it is overvalued compared to its Price of $15.34 per share. Value is computed from forecasted earnings per share, forecasted earnings growth, profitability, interest, and inflation rates. Value increases when earnings, earnings growth rate and profitability increase, and when interest and inflation rates decrease. VectorVest advocates the purchase of undervalued stocks. At some point in time, a stock's Price and Value always will converge.
Overpriced piece of DUNG with a HUGE GAP that needs to be filled, and IMO should go MUCH lower!
We all know Friday jobs report is key. See below. TrimTabs is projecting minus 100,000 net jobs for January, based on US gov tax records. If TrimTabs is correct, ANN indeed heads towards $13.50 to $14. If not, may stay around $15 to $15.50, but I hardly see it going any higher than that until 4Q earnings are out.
