    Got a response from Verisign

    Dear Network Solutions Customer,

    On July 31, at approximately 9:00am E.S.T. Network Solutions Advanced DNS Manager ( hosting service was disrupted to our customers. The problem was immediately identified and resolved by 12:00pm E.S.T. The issue was internal and affected our primary Advanced DNS Manager service only. VeriSign's global DNS infrastructure, root servers, and all other services were unaffected.

    Network Solutions publishes zone files on a 24/7 basis for our Advanced DNS Manager customers. A software glitch caused a truncated zone file to be sent out, which temporarily disrupted resolution. The problem has been fixed and we have taken actions to prevent any reoccurrence.
    Network Solutions deeply regrets the inconvenience to our Managed DNS customers.
