Okay, any opinions on this one, relative to NFLX or not? I remember that fund manager who was written up some time ago liked this one as well as NFLX. In my personal space, I know of more competition for TIVO than for NFLX.
I enjoy reading your posts, but I *always* care about the fundamentals. I invest for the long haul; investing in a company like jdsu or pmcs, without fundamentals, for example, just got lots of folks in trouble.
Yes, that's what I was thinking. Log on to the TIVO site. My first impression is that their whole setup does not have the obvious ease of use and transparency that NFLX does.
Aso, it may be just me, but television sucks so badly, who would want to a) pay for cable, b) pay for the TIVO box, and c) pay for a monthly TIVO fee to watch the crap they stream over the air?
Well, I have a brother-in-law who uses a TIVO competitor, and he likes it, but he's such a fucking right-wing dweeb that he's too hung up to risk watching anything risque on DVD. So TV is sufficiently "cleansed" for him.
