"Moonves announced that the last season of "Dexter" would air in June but wouldn't further expound on the other CBS series that would be leaving the air.
"The CEO reminded, though, that the company's deal with Netflix could allow CBS to move series from broadcast to streaming with relative ease.
“Yes, there are shows we could take off that we have a deal in place with Netflix to put on [SVOD],” Moonves said. “It’s way too early to tell [which ones get cut]. I haven’t seen the pilots or made my scheduling moves. But we do have that option in a number of shows in our schedule.”
Dexter gets somewhere between 2 and 3 million viewers on Showtime. Netflix has demonstrated that it can match those same numbers from its 33 million worldwide streaming members.
