if NFLX is joining the nasdaq 100 next week, why aren't the shares soaring in premarket instead of only being up a mere $1.50?
Three main reasons:
1. It is already priced in, as there was a lot of front running (why do you think the stock at these inflated levels?).
2. The stock is a ridiculously overinflated bubble (and most fund managers know this, they are not stupid).
3. The index funds do not have to buy more than total ~1M shares (for example, the largest QQQ only needs to buy ~500K shares)
And don't those funds have until at least 6/6 to buy? Think they want it cheaper?? Bet they do.
A good question. I think it was expected. This is a repeat for NFLX (joining the Naz 100).
