Long- I agree with you this. Im sure they don't pretty exhaustive analysis and been given a big vote of confidence from analysts on making this move. The investor summits that they have been doing tie in nicely with this move.
I wasn't aware that the NYSE "requires human brokers to hand in trade orders on the stock exchange floor. This slows the process of buying and selling stock and adds a human element to the decision making of investors." (Per ehow--The Advantages & Disadvantages of Listing in the New York Stock Exchange)
