Are you issuing any guarantees regarding the coming offer from Stewart?

Will they have to get Elliot Spitzer's permission to make the offer?

In case you didn't know, Spitzer is investigating FAF, FNT, STC and LFG for their usual bribes paid to builders, brokers, lenders and such. It sounds like a "round up the usual suspects" situation but now in a new jurisdiction.

The story in Thursdays WSJ did not mention ITIC.

I imagine you are preparing your deposit slip now to put your ITIC proceeds in the bank. Then you will be getting ready to make an offer for a larger, swankier bridge overpass.
When you get your new place furnished from the thrift shop, let me know and I will come for the house warmaing.

      • Guarantee? From pj, who tells so many lies on message boards that he can't keep the story consistent? (At least, that's the feedback I get on many boards.)

My newest ploy is to ask my broker to borrow the shares, as if I'm going to sell them short, and then to ask for delivery--in one-share certificates, extra-thick (for use in making cold-weather blankets) please!

    • Frankly, if management wants to hold more than 70 million dollars worth of shareholders' liquid assets, they should put out a tender for the stock at $75.

Pay us our money, or buy us out. Those funds aren't needed for the business.
