What do they mean in the announcement when they say "overweight"?
Buying an index fund would be equal weight for all stocks in the fund, roughly the same percentage ownership of each company. Overweight would be holding a higher percentage ownership in a given stock relative to the "field".
Back up the truck and load on as much or more than the suspension will bear ;)
It is a recommendation for investors to increase their investment position in a particular security or stock. Brokerage firms such as J. P. Morgan use Overweight when upgrading a stock.
