    Short Interest observations

I love numbers, so I did some thoughtful (well, at least for me...LOL) analysis of the recent Short Interest disseminated yesterday for the 11/15/13 Settlement Date.

As I posted yesterday afternoon, the reported Short Interest as of November 15th was 4,187,494 shares. From November 18th through the close of yesterday afternoon, the total number of shares traded was approximately 2,304,000. So, let's say every single share traded during that time was a short covered share (which of course is an unreasonable scenario). That still leaves AT A MINIMUM a little less than 2 million shares that had to be covered as of this morning. So, in my opinion, at a minimum, there is some pain out there. But, thinking reasonably about this situation......I'm guessing there is A LOT of pain right now. Anyone know what the up to date short interest was as of yesterday? I'm sure it is more than the 2 million shares I mentioned above.

    Happy Thanksgiving
