My posts don't last long here; I tried (several times) to let folks know that Wells acquired about 7.4% of insmed in Q4. They are not previously a big holder of Insmed stock.
We know (already) Wells Fargo Company MN (CIK 72971) filed their 13F-HR on 02/06/2014 declaring 1,907,779M shares (1865445+38852+3482=same as Nasdaq summary)
Later I found form N-Q filed 02/27/2014 for Wells Fargo Funds Trust (CIK 1081400) with another 1,000,800 shares
I cannot find a link between the two, so I believe these entities are unrelated. Thus Wells Fargo owns 2.9M shares in Insmed. As far as I know, they should declare the (combined) interest (7.4%) as being greater than 5%. It's very sneaky if you ask me, since the 1.9M is deliberately (in my view) under 5% (about 4.9% of outstanding shares)
I think Insmed is a serious take-over target now, but I don't trust Insmed as far as I can spit, so who knows how this pans out.
