We stopped at a Steak and Shake for lunch. Having never eaten there, I had low expectations along the lines of Backyard Burger or Cheesburger Charlies. We waited about 5 minutes for an open table. The waitress was attentive, quick with the soda refills and handled the order with efficiency. The burgers, fries and kids' milkshakes were excellent. All of the plates were cleaned and my 3-year old liked playing with the little cardboard car that he folded into shape.
The overall experience was so good that I googled the stock ownership, Looked up BH and found this message board.
From a customer perspective, I gave it a 9.5. However from a potential shareholder perspective, there is one thing that I noticed. There were 2 other people paying at the cash register near the door, so I had to wait to pay my bill. As I was waiting, there was a lot of activity by the door. I wondered how many people walk out the door without paying? I don't know how that type of theft/shrinkage would be measured?
