Three months ago I listened to the ETP conference call. Needless to say, I was shocked at the lackadaisical attitude between the questions that were asked by the analysts and the answers that were given by management. The entire conference call lasted no more than 30 minutes at most.
In addition, after the call, someone on ETP’s end forgot to turn off their side of the conference call telephone. All I heard was a lot of laughing and cat-calls. Well boys, I guess you got away with another lousy quarter at the expense of many loyal shareholders.
I hope that this next conference call (on 11-7?) is more meaningful. I hope that there will be analysts that ask meaningful questions about the future of this company. I also hope that there are shareholders attending this session that help to hold management accountable for results.
I appreciate the fact that this MLP pays a nice distribution, but I am concerned about management’s attitude regarding this business. I own a substantial position in this stock, but I can guarantee that I will sell out if this same lackadaisical attitude persists.
